Hello!

I’m John Stagaman, an American designer based in Lausanne, Switzerland. I spent much of my childhood in Brussels, Belgium...where I developed an interest in art at an early age. Returning to Cincinnati, I attended University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program where I received my degree in Industrial Design. After graduation, I received an internship with Branch Creative where I worked for 5 years.

In 2023 I re-located to Lausanne to participate in a Masters Advanced Studies program at ECAL (École cantonale d'art de Lausanne) with a focus in design for luxury & craftsmanship. While here I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with large european luxury brands as well as small scale, artisan producers on limited edition products.

I’ve always enjoyed approaching design through the lens of functional art and sculpture - trying to reach both the logical and emotional sides of the products we interact with everyday.
